A Brief Story of Ayo's Journey
Ayobiyi Shote has over 19 years of cumulative experience in the global oil and gas industry, spanning Sales, Marketing, Applications Engineering, Operations, and Strategic Management. His career started in the United Kingdom as a Field Engineer for Schlumberger Oilfield Services. He then went on to hold several management roles in different countries, including France and Oman, where he gained extensive experience in the industry.
Ayo’s leadership skills and strategies have significantly contributed to the growth of organizations he has been a part of. During his time as the Managing Director of Baker Hughes Incorporated, West Africa, Ayo developed advanced business strategies that drove consistent organizational growth. He also formed dynamic partnerships with employees and customers, resulting in innovative solutions and sustained operational growth.
After leaving Baker Hughes in March 2016, Ayo has been helping small organizations develop strategies to drive growth and enhance profitability across multiple industries and sectors. He is currently the CEO of ETIHAD Oilfield Services Limited and serves on the board of several start-ups in Agribusiness, Oil & Gas, and Brand Management & Marketing.
Ayo holds an MBA from the University of Liverpool and a Master of Arts in ‘Leading Innovation & Change’ from York St John University, UK. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and a member of the Institute of Directors, both in the UK. He is also a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration, Nigeria. Ayo continues to be a thought leader in the global oil and gas industry and is committed to empowering organizations with strategic guidance and leadership.
